New Hope Bible Church began as Brownington Center Church in a small country town. Today, over twenty years after George Lawson began pastoring in Brownington Center, Vermont, God has grown our ministry and moved us to the town of Irasburg. God’s ministry at New Hope Bible Church now includes a campground and a Christian school. We rejoice in all that God has done and we warmly invite you to worship with us at our new location. Services are held every Sunday at 10 AM.
Irasburg Campus
Services Every Sunday at 10 AM
In the 90s, this location went through a dramatic transformation as it transitioned from a piece of farmland and woodland into a campground with a mission to introduce local youth to the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Years later, it’s still home to River of Life Camp which uses engaging summer programs to share the gospel with young people and disciple Christian youth through unique and exciting ministry opportunities. Since 2011, River of Life has also been home to New Hope Bible Church. Every Sunday, we gather here to worship Jesus Christ. Throughout the year, this location is home to weekly youth ministries, conferences, summer picnics, and more. Since 2021, these grounds have also been home to a Christian School, launched to further our mission of reaching Orleans County with the good news of Jesus Christ. Services take place every Sunday at 10 AM. Click the link above to stream live from Facebook.

In 2001, George Lawson became the pastor of a small community church located at the intersection of Brownington Center Road and the Old Stone House Road. Brownington Center Church, as it was then called, became a light before men (Matt. 5:16) with the goal of reaching Orleans County with the good news of Jesus Christ. One of the ways the church set out to accomplish that mission was youth ministry. Thus, from our earliest days, New Hope has its roots in ministry to young people. God blessed, Brownington Center Church grew, and when it came time to launch the Irasburg campus, it was clear that this location would remain a vital part of our ministry. Pastored by Dan Prue, New Hope of Brownington is continuing the mission begun over 20 years ago as a place of worship and ministry that exalts the name of Christ in Orleans County.
